The Mausoleo Ossario Garibaldino in Rome's Trastevere quarter houses the remains of those fallen in the battles for Rome in the 19th century.

The Mausoleo Ossario Garibaldino was built in 1941 to commemorate and house the remains of fallen patriots who fought in several battles between 1849 and 1870 for the new Italian state then a constitutional monarchy. They fought against French and Austrian troops who were called to protect the Catholic Vatican State who at that time ruled in Rome.
