A German late Gothic mace, circa 1450. Wrought iron. Head with four copper soldered, pointed flanges terminating in coils, the viewing side of the flanges with incised décor. Robust, slightly conical haft of square section. Deeply struck smith mark (clover leaf) on one side. The surfaces with traces of corrosion.
