Finely carved Renaissance style inlays depicting mythical beasts, cartouches, and animals surrounded by tendril decoration. On the front a clasp lock with unlocking device on the bottom and "J" under crown, inscribed "SIENA 1849". Frame and moulded trims of ebonised wood. The inside lined with red velvet.
