Early evening and the sun is setting over Aberdaron & Aberdaron Bay, Lleyn Peninsula, Gwynnedd, North Wales, United Kingdom

A view of the village, or small town, of Aberdaron taken from the headland behind the village, shows the white painted hotels, public houses and cottages. Situated, as it's name indicates, at the mouth of the River Daron, at the extremity of the Lleyn Peninsula and opposite to Bardsey Island. On the Island is a famous monastery which used to attract a large number of Pilgrims with Aberdaron being the usual place of embarkation for the Island. The village, of Aberdaron, has a small local farming and fishing community and it's beaches are also very popular with holidaymakers and visitors to the area. In the distance are the clifftops and headland leading round from Aberdaron Bay to Porth Ysgo and on to Porth Neigwl, or Hell's Mouth, Cardigan Bay and the two small Islands "Ynys Gwylan-fawr" and "Ynys Gwylan-bach". On the East of the town, the road climbs up the hill past the local Church and Graveyard, which has an imposing view overlooking the town, beach, bay continuing out over Bardsey Sound to Bardsey Island. .
