In some specimens the posterior, rather than the external,point, is the most developed (Fig. 21 A), while in other specimens the posteriorpoint is more rounded and less pronounced, and the external point is the mostdeveloped (Fig. 21B). During the course of development (Fig. 21D-E) theexternal point progressively increases in size with respect to the posterior of pleopod 1 endopodite (Fig. 21F-G) with spines and a smalltriangular lobe.
