Ice Hotel. Glass on the ice bar of the Ice Hotel, a hotel made entirely from snow and ice. The glass, made from ice from the nearby Torne River, contains vodka and cranberry juice. The Ice Hotel is the world's largest igloo, and lies within the Arctic Circle in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden. It is built every winter by spraying 30,000 tonnes of snow onto moulds which are removed once the snow has compacted. 10,000 tonnes of ice are also used. The hotel sleeps over 100 guests on ice beds. Visitors keep warm in their sleeping bags despite temperatures that reach -9 degrees Celsius. Guests can also visit the ice exhibition hall, sauna, ice cinema or ice chapel. The hotel melts every May.
