Engraving showing a Quagga in it’s natural habitat. This animal was a gift by Sir George Grey, Govenor of the Cape Colony, to the Zoological Society Gardens, Regent’s Par London, in 1858. By 1900 the Quagga was recognised internationally to be extinct.
