5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Oct. 17, 2017) Engineman 3rd Class Jeremiah Leisure, a native of Fairbanks, Alaska, assigned to the main propulsion department aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), conducts routine maintenance checks in the engine room. Pearl Harbor is part of the America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
