Union Lane and Stalmine Moss

Union lane running across Stalmine Moss near Preesall in the Over Wyre district of Lancashire. A feature of the Fylde landscape these straight lanes running 5-6ft above the surrounding fields are a result of draining for agriculture and peat cutting the old mosslands or raised bogs. The last remaining area of untouched mossland lies less than three miles to the east at Winmarleigh Moss
