It is of strong and rapid growth, and brilliant rosy-crimson blossoms aie pro- duced from early in March until midsummer; in fact, a plant will frequently flower the greater part of the year. Altogether it is a most desir- able subject for the conservatory > or window gar- den. 25 cts. each. Our bed of Caladium Esculentum bordered with the new red Pennisetum was awarded a Silver Medal at St. Louis, 1904. One of the most effective plants in cultivation for beds, borders or for planting out upon the lawn ; it will grow in any good garden soil, and is of the easiest culture. To obtain the best result it should be planted where it will obtain plenty of water and an abundance of rich comnost. Foliage light green.
