Col. Ben Skardon, a 1938 graduate of Clemson University, WWII POW, recipient of two Silver Stars, and survivor of the Bataan Death March, poses at the mile 8 marker of the Bataan Memorial Death March at White Sands Missile Range, , March 17, 2019. Skardon came to White Sands to walk in the march for the 12th time. He is 101 years old, and the only survivor of the actual death march to walk in the memorial march.
