A sad monkey. China: THESE EXPRESSIVE images show wild snub-nosed monkey and their amazing range of emotions that have seen members of this species gain parts in films and TV shows such as Ozymandias and His Dark Materials. One image shows a pouting monkey looking tearful as it sits alone on a rock, whilst another image shows a smiling juvenile with a little moustache. Another image shows a monkey baring its teeth in a joker-like grimace, defending its territory as this photographer snaps pictures. The snub-nosed monkey comes in many different colours, growing to a length of 33-inches, with the addition of a 38-inch tail. These images were captured by British photographer Peter Bradley in the Yunnan province of Southern China. ?Early each morning the troop of monkeys come down from the highest part of the mountain to feed,? said Peter. ?This starts as a flicker, a rustle in the highest trees. It ends in shaking and screaming as more and more monkeys come closer. ?They are some of the most bizarre-looking creatures I?ve ever seen. ?They are wild animals, in their traditional habitat exhibiting natural behaviour. ?They run around searching for food, grooming each other and, clearly, enjoy playing in the trees. ?But they are also quite territorial, shout and scream and pull dreadful grimaces. And are quite big. ?It?s always exciting and frantic to capture good shots of fast-moving action. Capturing the playfulness of the monkey is fun and mediadrumimages/PeterBradley
