Parisian bridges. The new Passerelle Simone-de-Beauvoir footbridge crosses the River Seine, at the Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand, in Paris, France.
The Passerelle Simone de Beauvoir crosses the river Seine beside the Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand (also known as the Bibliothèque nationale de France). The bridge connects the National Library to the new Parc de Bercy on the other side of the river. The park was created in the 1990’s on what was formerly an industrial zone and it is where the wine warehouses serving the city of Paris used to be Passerelle Simone de Beauvoir was inaugurated on July 13th 2006and it is the newest of only three pedestrian bridges which cross the Seine in Paris.
