German soldiers maliciously destroyed a stuffed deer's head, paintings, and ornaments at Dr. Lemarchal's residence in Chateau Thierry. The photograph, taken by 2nd Lt. Drucker of the Signal Corps, showcases the evidence of German aggression and vandalism during World War One. The image was released for publication by the censor on October 7th, 1918.
