In faft, a flightof nearly two hundred fteps has to be afcended to reach thechurch from the level of the river; but above them theview is very animated, of the river expanding deep below,between the bufy wharves, and the fhips pafling in and outbetween the mofly headlands that reftrain the billows of theftormy fea.
