View of Tombs of The Nobles from the River Nile at Aswan
The Tombs of the Nobles sit at many different heights along the edge of the desert. The Old and Middle Kingdom Tombs lie uppermost while the newer Roman tombs are closest to the water. You can clearly see the graded causeways to the water from the larger tombs. The Muslim tomb on the summit is known as 'Dome of the Wind'
