Tilapia fish (Oreochromis alcalicus grahami or Tilapia grahami) carrying her young in her mouth. The eggs are taken up soon after they are laid. After hatching, they remain in the mouth for two weeks as they grow to about a centimetre in length. This fish is a type of cichlid that inhabits warm, alkaline freshwater lakes in eastern central Africa. It breeds there all year round, feeding on algae.
