The shield around the tube prevents stray light from falling onthe screen, but it is not so large as to prevent the use of a DoubleNose Piece. The front tube can be quickly removed so that wideangle or high power objective can be used without limiting thearea of illumination on the screen. The instrument is provided witha revolving diaphragm and sleeve support for Sub-stage CondensingI^ens necessary for high power work.
