The accompanying illustration is the best that has ever been made of the variety. Our stock of this has been carefully selected for several years, and is strictly pure and first- class every way. HAVERLAND.—This grand old varietv has made a place for itself near the head of the list, solelv on its merits. Well do I remember somewhere about twenty years ago when it was first offered Little was said about it at the time, and in fact it has never been boomed by anyone, yet it has steadily work- ed its way, and today it is one of the largest sellers that w« have in the list. While I plant largely of it, and always have a good stock, we never have any left. The Jlaverland. while a pistillate variety, is one of the easiest to pollen- ize. It has a strong, vigorous, healthy plant, makes ample beds, and is very productive. Under favorable conditions, I have seen this variety average a9 large as guinea eggs.
