Above in the panels appear designs of tastyand appropriate conventionalities, and below appear thenames of Daniel, Ampere, Galvani, and others of thefamous, while on the sides of the building and at thenorth end the same idea of the roll call of electricity iscarried out. The building is of the Italian renaissance school, beinga combination of the Corinthian and Ionic orders. The north view, which shows in our engraving, givesus two bays and a small porch, fronting on the lagoon,and a favorite lounging place for the tired sightseer ofan afternoon.
