Molecular model of Pyrrolysine (C12. H21. N3. O3), a standard amino acid, used in the synthesis of proteins for some archaea and metanogenic bacteria. This rare amino acid is encoded by the codon UAG, which in humans is an amber-type stop codon. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (black), hydrogen (white), nitrogen (blue) and oxygen. Illustration.
