Denmark’s first commercial seaplane route opened 25th May 2016 with four departures in each direction between the harbours of Copenhagen and the second largest city, Aarhus, in Jutland. The service offers a 45 minutes direct flight service, but a short sailing trip to and from the harbour berths will be added. The service is operated by Nordic Seaplanes in Aarhus. A single ticket to one of the 15-18 seats on board this de Havilland Twin Otter Seaplane costs Dkr. 1800 and it is by far the quickest way to travel between the two cities.
