Exfoliative dermatitis (ED) on the hand of a 63 year old female patient, also called erythrodermatitis or red man syndrome. Symptoms include reddening of the skin due to dilated blood vessels and exfoliation (peeling) of the skin. ED has many causes including allergies, lymphoma and leukaemia, as well as unknown causes, and is treated with topical steroids.
