African elephant (Loxodonta africana), a large male, named Michael by the Amboseli Trust for Elephants, enjoying a dust bath during a long drought

Michael was born in 1991, the son of Mabel, and was therefore 31 years old when this photo was taken in 2022. His tusks are already long, but could continue growing for another 30 years yet. Because of the drought many animals were concentrated in a small area where water was available. Other grazers in these pictures include wildebeest and zebras.
