Whitehall, London, UK. 8th December, 2015. War veterans take part in a demonstration to protest against the UK government's decision to use airstrikes against Isis strongholds in Syria. Veterans of the Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya discarded their medals at Downing Street in London. Veterans For Peace is a voluntary ex-services organisation of men and women who have served in every war that Britain has fought since WW2. They claim to exist to convince people that war is not the answer to the problems of the 21st century. Pictured: Some of the discarded medals on the floor outside the gates to Downing Street.
