The market is well supplied with all seasonable items; in fact, the market is glutted and considerable stock goes to the ash barrel. The demand, though steady, is only fair. Eoses are in exceptionally heavy sup- ply. Among others, excellent Ophelia, Ward, Hoosier Beauty and American Beauty roses may be had. The carna- tion market is glutted, but the blooms generally clear toward the end of the week. Easter lilies are most plentiful and sell at low prices. Sweet peas, too, are plentiful, and only the best sell at all readily. Some excellent Darwin tulips have been coming in, as well as snapdragons, gladioli, valley and some orchids. Greens of all kinds are plen- tiful. Various Notes. E. G. Gillett has been confined to his home by indigestion, but reports the first of this week indicated that he was greatly improved. C. E. Critchell was in St. Louis during the middle of last week. The day be- fore leaving he celebrated his birthday anniversary. Ralph Sehlomer, formerly of C. E. Critchell's force, and his brother, have purchased the Stephany flower store in Oakley. They are doing business as the Oakley Floral Co. Paul Naber has joined the navy. W. A.
