Marquis wheat has been grown to a considerable extent in this subhumid part of the upper Mississippi Valley. About one and one- third millions of bushels were grown in Minnesota alone in 1914. The variety has been tested at several experiment stations located in this section. The positions of five such stations and the results obtained during the last three years are shown in figure 3.
