The Myth of King Sailesh at Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India In district Darbhanga, the figures of Kind Sailesh enjoys the status of a deity among the lower caste people viz Mahajar, Dusad etc. Born of Kusha grass, the great warrior is said to have vowed life long celibacy in the interest of his brother Motiram riding an elephant, two lions, a parrot called Hiraram, two soldiers, princess Reshma & Kushma along with Chuharmal the adversary, are offered at his shrine. It is an example of deification of an ancestral hero.
