Fruit large and heavy (thirty to sixty pounds). Every- body who can grow a melon should try this variety, and large growers need not hesitate to plant it largely. This is not only an early watermelon of fine qualit\-, but it is also of large size. From seed planted on the fourth day of May, large, ripe melons were picked July 28th, thus demonstrating its inbred character of maturing extra early.
