The formerhad the western part, which now belongs to the Harned Smith had the eastern part, and added to it a tractbought of Aaron Smith adjoining the harbor. He left it to hisson Alexander, who in turn left it to his brothers, TimothyTreadwell Smith and Elias Smith. The former sold his partto Elias Smith, who thus became the sole owner. The man-sion house of Elias Smith yet remains an interesting relic ofthe early days. The still older house of Obadiah Smith stoodnear it next the river.].
