Co. maintenance cost was accomplished in spite of a con-siderable reduction in the mileage. In making thissaving the number of men and the length of the work-ing day were cut to the lowest possible point and allovertime was stopped. The reduction in men auto-matically made a corresponding reduction in the ma-terial used. The material reduction was also further.
