There were no unusually mildperiods at any time or anywhere. The precipitation was much less than usual, but, owmg toice or snow cover most of the time, the deficiency was notnoticed in the general walks of life. The unusual feature, andpnrhaps the only one of the month, was ice covered three-fourths of the State north of the Oza
