Area 51 UFO site. Satellite view of Area 51, a top secret American military facility located at Groom Lake, Nevada, USA. The site contains a large air base, where research into crashed unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and their alien crews has allegedly been carried out. Image taken by the Ikonos satellite, the first commercial satellite to collect data at one-metre resoltution. The satellite, which orbits at 681 kilometres, is owned by Space Imaging, USA.
