WESTERN PACIFIC (June 7, 2017) Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Ernst Hamlin, from Nacogdoches, Texas, fires a shot line to fleet replenishment oiler USNS Rappahannonk (T-AO 204) from the forecastle of Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57) during a replenishment-at-sea. The Navy has patrolled the Indo-Asia-Pacific routinely for more than 70 years promoting regional peace and security.
