Hasa very short stem, the heads grow to an immense size, arehard, solid and round, and flattened on top; uniformin shapeand size. It is particularly remarkable for its certainty tohead, and is very sweet flavored, has but few loose leaves,keeps well and is a general favorite. Cabbage growers in theSouth, where so many varieties fail to head, would do well toraise largely of this variety.
