Displaced Syrian families huddled together in the lobby of Aleppo's historic Baron Hotel without water or electricity, while fighting raged outside. The hotel, in Aziziyeh district, was close to the frontline. Aleppo's historic Baron Hotel was founded in 1911 by two Armenian brothers. Guests included David Rockefeller, Theodore Roosevelt, Agatha Christie and Charles Lindbergh.
