Church of Vila Viçosa
Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Vila Viçosa. The present church was built in 1569 but there was a medieval church there before. It was in this church that D. João IV, King of Portugal, in the 25th of March of 1646, dedicated the Portuguese crown to Our Lady, and since then the portuguese kings were not allowed to wear the crown anymore.
