Slovenia, mount Vodice, WWI. Mount Vodice was the scene of bloody battles between the Italian army and the Austro-Hungarian army during the tenth battle of the Isonzo. After very high losses on both sides, the summit of the mountain was definitively taken by the Italians on the evening of May 18, 1917. The Italian inscription on the rock dedicated to Colonel Camagna.
