PACIFIC OCEAN, Calif. – Sailors with Amphibious Squadron 15 put out notional fires aboard USS AMERICA during Amphibious Squadron Marine Expeditionary Unit Integration off the coast of California, April 2, 2017. TSST simulates an attack wherein Sailors and Marines are trained to access damages, locate injured personnel and provide first aid in order to test the ship’s ability to survive an attack from hostile forces.
