VALLEJO, Calif. - Army Maj. Douglas Hayes, with the 397th Engineering Battalion reattaches a chain that slipped off a gator at the Mare Island Naval Cemetery, Jan. 28, 2020. The 801st Eng. Co. and the 322nd Engineer Company have been making improvements to the historical graveyard since August 2019 and December 2019 respectively, as participants in a Department of Defense innovative readiness training program.
