Stockingfield Bridge on the Forth and Clyde Canal in Maryhill Glasgow, a Scottish Canals project connecting communities in the North of the city
The Stockingfield bridge is a Scottish Canals project on the Forth and Clyde Canal at Stockingfield Junction in North Glasgow. This new foot and cycle bridge will connect the communities of Ruchill, Gilshochill and Maryhill allowing easier access for communities to amenities in the North and West of the city. The images were taken on the 13th August 2022 very soon after the canal pathway was reopened to walkers and cyclists. The pathway had been closed for around 2 years. The bridge is set to be available for use during September 2022.
