Tidal Basin Pumping Station at Royal Victoria Dock designed by Architect Richard Rogers, Docklands, London, UK
Designed by the Richard Rogers partnership, the pumping station deals with surface water in the area of the Royal Victoria Dock sending to the the Thames via gravity mains. The docks are built on Marshland and three pumping stations (this one, one at North Woolwich and a third at Gallions Reach roundabout) are required to prevent frequent flooding.
