Heart surgery electrophysiology screen. Electrical traces on a screen during heart surgery. This system is being used to monitor the internal electrical activity of the heart (intracardiac channels) in a technique known as electrophysiology (EP). This equipment is being used during cardiac ablation surgery, with the tab at lower left ('EP flutter') referring to the process being used to treat atrial flutter. Photographed in the UK.
