Boyle acquired a iiublic school education in his native city and began the studyof pharmacy as early as his eleventh year, working after school hours in a drug store. Hebicame a registered pharmacist on the 3d of November, 1903, having in the meantime])rovided for his education and his support by his labor. In August, 1904, he purchased hispresent business, having but little capital and giving his note for the remainder. When the doors of his store for business he had but thirty dollars in cash, but he has made. JOHN E. In he went to theFairfield Beach for the benefit of his health and there developed a summer resort andestablished the Vassar Inn, which he still owns and conducts. He also built Boyles BeachCasino, which was destroyed by fire in 1915. He built a store there and is yet engaged inbusiness at that point, besides owning seven houses there. His investments have been mostcarefully and judicially made and success in large measure has been his.
