He very acceptably served aspastor at Pleasant Hill, Plum Tree,Warren, CoUamer, Millwood, Servia,Wakarusa, Eel River, Antioch andMerriam. At his own request the ExecutiveBoard granted him a letter of recom-mendation and dismissal, January 25,1898. MINISTERS OF EEL RIVER CHRISTIAN CONFERENCE. (MRS. D. HIDY) (DAVID HIJ)Y) ELDER DAVID HIDY Was born in Fayette county, Ohio, June 24, 1834. In 1837 with liis parents, W. Catherine Hidy, he came to Indiana settling on Siniiiigtons Creek, Wabashcounty. He first attended a school held in a log school house near his home in 1842,and by attending faithfully during the winter months he made considerable ad-vancement. At the age of 14 he united with the Pleasant Grove Christian churchunder the preaching of H. B. Barber who baptized him. In 1853 he was married toMiss S. J. Abbott. To them were born five children. Two sons and two daughtersare still living. October 8, 1863, he volunteered in the Union armj- and served as a non-commis-s
