Newroz is celebrated every year on March 21 in Turkey. Newroz is the Kurdish celebration of Nowruz; the arrival of spring and new year in Kurdish culture. The celebration in Istanbul, is attended by thousands of people, this year's celebration was held at Bakirkoy Square under the slogan "Newroz is resistance, it is the spring of people against fascism".
