The native village on the station consists of one longstreet, with several permanent houses and many temporary huts. Of courseour native population here at the station is a shifting one, and as we emplovall that are here we have had to turn away a great many because we couldnot afford to hire them, though there is plenty of work to be done. A num-ber of men have expressed themselves as desirous of coming here to live, buttheir wives are yet unwilling to leave their heathen lives and the social inter-course of their villages.
