Proboscis fully developed ; palpi upturned, the 2nd joint reaching to yertex ol' head and fringed with long hair in front, the 3rd moderate; frons smooth ; eyes rather small and elliptical; antennae of male ciliated; thorax clothed with hair and scales mixed and without crests ; tibice sligiitly iringed with hair, all the tibia; strongly spined; abdomen smoothly scaled and without crests. Fore vfing short and broad, tiie apex rounded, the termen evenly curved and not crenulate; veins 3 and 5 from near angle of cell; G from upper angle; 9 from 10 anastomosing with 8 to form the areole, 11 from cell. Hind wing with the cell about half the length of wing; veins 3, 4 from angle; 5 fully developed from above angle; 6,7 from upper angle; 8 auastomosiiig with the cell near base onlv. * , 'I'reit.
