When milk and cream are cooled close to freezing and placed in ordinary milk cans wrapped in felt jack- ets, they may be safe- ly shipped to any point that may be reached within 24 hours even i n warm weather. If the temperature of the milk and cream at the time of shipment is 50° F. or higher, then long distance ship- ment is best accomplished by the use of an ordinary can placed inside of a covered ice cream shipping tub con- taining ice.
