Typically, each page contains 6 to 8 printing of the same format. Incidentally, photos are included in panorama format. They are recorded by a French amateur photographer from well-off circles. In the period 1896-1904, he / she made trips in France, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands where many sights were recorded: churches, palaces, forts, castles, ruins, viaducts, bridges, landscapes, villages and cities. They were also witnessed by the celebration of Mardi Gras and the visit by Tsar Nicolaas II of Russia and Tsarina Alexandra Fjodorovna to Paris (1896). The company traveled per automotive, a novelty at that time. Many times this new means of transport, often surrounded by curious bystanders, is recorded by the photographer. The first car races also come into the picture including that of Paris to Amsterdam and vice versa (1898), which led the travel group to Nijmegen. On this last race, Baroness Hélène van Zuylen van Nijevelt also participated, one of the first françaises that owned a driver's license. She also comes into the picture. Presumably the photographer was one of the Delizy brothers, co-owner of Distillery Delizy & DoaTau Fils in Pantin (Now Paris) who had been in possession of cars early and also photographed (see photo album RP-F-F01164). Delizy participated in said Race Paris-Amsterdam-Paris as a tour driver, which was referred to as 'Les Touristes' at the time in French newspapers. As a result, he was present on the spot to make the recordings of the "real" competition drivers who are captured in the album.
